Health and HIV/AIDS
Based long experience in this field, AustralCOWI offers technical assistance in strategic planning and policy development, performance and project evaluations, quantitative and qualitative research, funds tracking and quality assessments of health projects. We have also capacity to directly manage and implement health and HIV/AIDS-related development projects.

While we seek to gear our services towards the market needs, we remain faithful to the principle that improving health requires improving social equality. We consider health not only a medical issue but essentially a social matter. Health is a human and civil right and it is one of the preconditions for human well-being and for a decent standard of living. Many Mozambicans are deprived from their right to good health. Low income and education levels are often directly related with poor health and with limited access to health services.

Similarly, we see HIV/AIDS as primarily a social problem; a problem, which is exacerbated by unequal power structures between men and women. We aim at contributing to the wider effort of leveling out social inequalities and of making good health accessible to more people in Mozambique and Southern Africa.

Our service line for Health and HIV/AIDS seeks to provide high quality services for both national and international clients, including government institutions, development partners, non-governmental organizations and private sector companies.
