AustralCOWI offers research aimed at presenting the social and economic characteristics of the population of Mozambique and the region in order to answer the diverse range of questions that require such information.
These questions may be posed by different research areas, including education, health, environment, rural development, governance and more. We focus on a methodological, rather than a thematic approach. Research is done both through qualitative and quantitative methods. We also have the capability of executing complex and extended surveys, which require refined and methodical logistics and supervision, and we collaborate closely with colleagues working in the other service areas of AustralCOWI. We guarantee high quality standards in fieldwork execution, coordination and supervision, and also in the analysis of the data collected. With broad experience from social research we focus on participative and quantitative socio-economic research, evaluations, social impact studies and evaluation of socio-economic development programs. We also provide services in the areas of institutional assessments as well as analysis of public policies in the areas of poverty and social development.
