Strategic Management Forum - January 2012 |

Between the 26th and 27th of January 2012, AustralCOWI will hold its Strategic Management Forum (SMF) at Girassol Indy Village, in Maputo, to discuss primarily the Action Plan of the company for the Year 2012. The SMF will also tackle on the issues of structuring the company in view of company's and market's changes. The meeting will count on the participation of Jan Kieler, Luís Magaço Jr., Jacob Ulrich, Sandra Roque, Minna Tuominen, Carmeliza Rosário, Isa Maldonado Telles, Enoque Mendes, Rui Ribeiro, Ercílio Infante, Liduva Ferrão, Elias Ainadine, Anja Basilio Fabech, and Michael Lorentzen. |

 Between the 29th of November and the 1st of December 2011, AustralCOWI hosted a Projecto Management Course at the VIP Hotel for COWI colleagues from Tanzania, Uganda and Mozambique. |

Mozambique to benefit from innovative flood prediction concept |
|
COWI has developed an innovative concept which combines hydraulic principles with GIS analyses to predict flood risks and to adapt urban areas to climate change. The concept is being applied on a project to assess climate change risks in Mozambique. Four Dams Expansion Project |

In August 2010 an agreement between the National Directorate of Water and AustralCOWI was signed for the social and environmental impact studies related to the expansion of the Corumana, Gorongosa, Metuchira and Ressano Garcia Dams. The consultancy began on September 1st 2010 and has been going for 12 months, after a planned extension to November 2011. |
